answers about my services
You sound like our kind of celebrant. What happens next?
Say hello via marryme@genenedeakin.com.au, or complete my “Say Hello” form to arrange a complimentary appointment to discuss your plans, answer your questions and to see if we’re a good match.
While I love saying our “First Hello” in person, I know life is busy and that many of my couples live outside of Brisbane and Austraila, so I also offer the convenience of e-appointments. As a full-time celebrant I’m available both during and after business hours.
Following our first meeting I’ll hold your wedding date for 5 days. If I ticked all your boxes and you’d like to engage my services, an email will commence the process. How exciting!
Can you reccomend wedding vendors?
I’ve collaborated with super-talented stylists, photographers, florists, musicians, videographers, creators of cakes and more! I’ll happily introduce you to professionals who I know will deliver 5-star service and are also lovely humans.
Will you travel outside of Brisbane to marry us?
I’ll happily travel to wherever your heart may take you on your wedding day. Say hello to enquire about travel to your venue, location or destination.
Are you experienced?
I am indeed, and I always have so much fun taking my job seriously! Find out what my past couples have to say with a look-see at the reviews and lovely words they’ve shared.

How long are your ceremonies?
Most ceremonies, including the processional and recessional, are 15-25 minutes long. That provides a nice balance between meaningful and let’s get on with the celebrations. Venues generally allocate a 30-minute timeslot for your ceremony.
Do you offer assistance with personal vows?
I sure do! You’ll receive my Little Vow Guide, and I’m always happy to review your vows and provide feedback if you request it.
What happens if you are sick on the day?
It would take A LOT to stop me from officiating a ceremony; fortunately, that’s not happened over the years. Touchwood! I’m a member of several Celebrant organisations, and I (or my husband if I was incapacitated) would send out an SOS.
Can a civil celebrant marry anyone in Australia?
I’m authorised to officiate your marriage provided you are over 18 years of age, are legally free to marry and have the required identification documentation. Say hello to find out more about my process.
Are you authorised & registered?
- I’m a full-time, Authorised Commonwealth Registered Civil Celebrant and Justice of the Peace Qualified
- I hold public liability insurance
- I uphold the marriage celebrants’ code of practice as set by the Attorney-General’s Department
- I have a network of fabulous fellow Celebrants to call upon in an emergency.
- I’m COVID Vaccinated and a trained First Aider
Do you offer a wedding rehearsal?
I do! A Brisbane run-through is included with my premium Bespoke package, subject to availability. However, once couples have received their detailed ceremony script, they are often confident enough to do a walk-through at their venue without me.
Do we need a translator if my fiance does not speak english?
Yes. Let me know if either of you or your witnesses cannot understand or speak English as an accredited translator will be required. Details here: http://www.naati.com.au.
I look forward to meeting you to learn about your exciting plans and how I can join your wonderful wedding day.
Say Hello.
