Our First Meeting

Finding the right celebrant who ‘gets’ what you want on your special day can be a bit daunting at first. The only way to know for sure is it to meet them face to face, have a chat and see how you ‘click’.

Let’s say hello and find out about each other over coffee or a drink my shout. I’ll discuss with you the process of marriage, what I’ll do leading up to your ceremony and on your big day. I’ll explain my wedding ceremony services and fees, and answer any questions you have for me. 

Choosing me as your celebrant

I’ll hold your date for a week after our first meeting. If you decide that I tick all your boxes and everything feels groovy, let me know and we can get started!  First, pay your deposit to lock in your date & secure my undivided attention for your day

What happens next?

We’ll arrrange a date for our second catch up which is our planning meeting.  You’ll receive wedding planning information and useful resources before that meeting. We’ll also take care of your paperwork and the legal requirments. You can find out more about the legal requirements for marriage in Australia here. Creating Your Wedding Ceremony & Vows

At Our Second Meeting…

Our second meeting or planning session, is all about the two of you! I’m keen to learn about your love story and all that makes you the loved-up couple that you are.  I’ll do my absolute best when composing and delivering your unique ceremony.

Ceremony & Vows

LET’S GET CREATIVE!  We’ll chat about the ceremony you have in mind, the elements or rituals you might like to include and the words you must include.  I’ll encourage you both to share your story. I’ll ask questions about you, your family and friends.  Your personalities and love story will inspire the ceremony I create for you. Ceremonies generally take around 30 minutes to complete, however, we can take as long as you feel is right to express your love and commitment to one another.  If you’re eager to get on with the celebrations, we can make it short and sweet. Whatever your preference, your ceremony will be memorable and uniquely yours.

We’ll also discuss the options availble to you around writing your vows. I’m happy to offer as little or as much assistance as you feel comfortable with.  You can create your own vows from the beginning, or I can assit with templates or pre-written vows.  You may also like to include some secret vows. Your vows should reflect what you would like to say to the person you are about to marry. If they feel right for you, they are.

GOOD TO KNOW If we haven’t already completed your pre-marriage paperwork, we’ll do it at this meeting.  You will need to provide me with evidence of your date and place of birth, your identity and the end of any previous marriages for each party. I may also ask you to complete a statutory declaration to support your evidence.  I’ll let you know exactly what to bring along to our second meeting. Following our planning meeting

I’ll be inspired and eager to channel my creativity and start crafting your bespoke love story.  I’ll be in touch to arrange a catch up with you when I’ve completed the first draft of your ceremony. What To Expect At Your Wedding Rehearsal

Drumroll…….

I’ll stay in touch throughout your wedding preparations and in the lead up to your wedding day. We’ll feel like old friends by the time your ceremony arrives. If you’re keen, we’ll meet for a rehearsal and final run through just before the big day.  

If your ceremony location is local and available, we’ll rehearse there.  No stress if it’s not, we’ll still rehearse without a problem.  We can take it from the top with your wedding party in tow or keep it low key with just the two of you.

It’s totally ok if you’re super excited on the day and forget everything we rehearsed.  I’ll guide you every step of the way, so you can focus on each other and the moment; not, what do I do next?

    What to bring to the rehearsal?

    Just your lovely selves and a sense of fun.  If I need you to bring along anything else I’ll be sure to let you know well in advance.

    The Big Day

    Cue the music…

    it’s time to celebrate you as a couple and tie the knot!

    I’ll arrive to your wedding location excited and ready to go at least 30 minutes before your ceremony is set to commence. I’m super organised and resourceful so there’s not too much that will stand in the way of me marrying you in a ceremony to remember, for all the right reasons!

    If you forget everything we rehearsed, I’ll guide you every step of the way, so you can focus on each other and the moment; not, what do I do next? 

    With my professional PA & wireless mic charged and at the ready, I’ll deliver you and your guests a crystal-clear ceremony. I’m mindful of your photographer’s needs throughout the proceedings and am more than happy to work with them to be sure they have their best shot at capturing all your beautiful moments. Following your I do’s, I’ll lodge your remaining legal paperwork so you can relax and enjoy your just married status.
